Princess Marina

Hugo Vickers gave this lecture to the Anglo-Hellenic League in the presence of The Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, The King of Greece, and other members of the Royal Family.

It is the story of the beautiful Princess Marina, who came to England in 1934 to marry Prince George, Duke of Kent, had three children and was then widowed in 1942. One of the best loved of recent Princesses, elegant, slightly tragic, she found a place in the hearts of the British public.

A moving lecture, richly illustrated with images of the Princess at the height of her beauty, and on the world tours she undertook in the 1950s.
